Not a chance that Man City won't play in that competition next season.

2 years FMOB!!
There's a City documentary on Amazon in which the chairman discusses being unable to purchase players at that time because of FFP

Seeing the two strongest teams on are Liverpool and Man City. Banning one of them seems a bit silly. And the Spanish two have been getting away with financial doping for decades.!

Ehehehe
Manchester City is disappointed but not surprised by today’s announcement by the UEFA Adjudicatory Chamber. The Club has always anticipated the ultimate need to seek out an independent body and process to impartially consider the comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence in support of its position. In December 2018, the UEFA Chief Investigator publicly previewed the outcome and sanction he intended to be delivered to Manchester City, before any investigation had even begun. The subsequent flawed and consistently leaked UEFA process he oversaw has meant that there was little doubt in the result that he would deliver. The Club has formally complained to the UEFA Disciplinary body, a complaint which was validated by a CAS ruling.
Simply put, this is a case initiated by UEFA, prosecuted by UEFA and judged by UEFA. With this prejudicial process now over, the Club will pursue an impartial judgment as quickly as possible and will therefore, in the first instance, commence proceedings with the Court of Arbitration for Sport at the earliest opportunity.

That gives them a free run at the league for the next 2 seasons then. Funny how PSG get away with it though

They're taking it to an independent court claiming it's a stitch up. I'll be amazed if they don't get back in.
Hope they do as don't want those cunts finishing 5th and getting in

The implications of this ruling could be pretty far reaching. If the PL were to reflect the ruling of UEFA that leaves a lot of problems to sort out about the current state of the league.
Arsenal for one will be very pissed off that ther team under Wenger spent years creating a team to play within FFP rules, only for Man City to flout them and strip them of their best players (Nasri, clichy, Sagna net ..)
Not to mention how city and PSG have contributed to all these inflated fees players are worth now.
Sheffield Utd sued the fuck out of us for fielding 1 ineligible player. I could see several clubs looking at Man City as a pig pay day here.
This is kind of wild. No wonder no one wanted to take on scudamores job!

Whilst probably right in their judgement, it sounds like UEFA's process was completely flawed. So I fully expect City will win their appeal and be reinstated.

Re: Man City Champions league ban

I wonder whether or not some clubs might have a claim against Man City as we suffered years ago when we stayed up and Sheffield Utd got relegated?
All because a judge thought Carlos Tevez kept us up on his own and we signed him legally but unfairly...

If this holds up, there’s a chance for Sheffield Utd to make the CL.
That leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
